Picture the step outside your door on a winter morning with a thin sheet of ice across it: shiny, slippery, and so cold your finger jumps back. `icy` takes that one thing — ice — and turns it into a way something can be. Sometimes the ice is really lying there (an icy road). Sometimes only the feeling of ice is there: in the wind that hits your face, or in the voice of someone who has decided they are finished talking to you.
