核心畫面

Picture something you would rather look away from — the eye finds nothing to rest on. That is the starting picture of ugly. English then lifts the same reaction off appearance and puts it on situations and on feelings: a crowd turning dangerous, or words full of spite, are things you would also rather not watch.
