Latin furia meant "rage" — the noun for the rage itself, not for the angry person. English kept exactly that: fury names the force, which is why weather and bursts of activity can also have it.

拉丁文 furia 就是「暴怒」這個東西本身，指的是那股怒火，而不是生氣的人。英文原封不動接下這個角度：fury 命名的是那股力量，所以後來風暴、海浪、一陣猛做事，都可以有 fury。
