核心畫面

The core picture you can hold is a flat, thin, broad piece — most familiar as the round dish you eat from, but underneath that is the simpler idea of 'a flat slab'. From that one flat-thing image everything fans out: the dish and its food, a flat sheet of metal, a flat slab of the Earth's crust, the flat slab of rock used in printing, even the verb 'to coat with a thin flat layer'.
