From Middle English pawe, from Old French poue, from Vulgar Latin *pauta; further origin unknown.
源自古法文 poue，來自俗拉丁文 *pauta；更早的來源不明。
An animal's foot — a cat's, a dog's, a bear's. Soft pads underneath, claws at the tips. It is a foot, not a hand: it can press, and drag at things, but it cannot hold them gently or handle them with care.
