核心畫面

One way to hold seep: water finding its way through a hairline crack, a drop at a time. Nothing pushes it and nothing rushes. Wherever there is the smallest gap, it keeps going, and you usually see the wet mark before you see any movement at all.

The packet traces seep to a variant of sipe, Old English sipian, from an older root meaning to drip or trickle. The small, slow drop is in the word from the beginning, not added later.
