how someone performs at work · noun · B1
Someone judged by how well or badly they do at work or an activity.
表現…者
Picture the person on stage, taking something they prepared and doing it right there in front of people. Two things matter in that picture: they are actually doing it, not talking about it, and someone is watching and can tell how well it went. The first half gives us actors, singers and dancers. The second half — being watched, being judged — is what later let the same word cover whoever, or whatever, is turning in a good or bad showing at work or in the market.
