An achiever is someone who is successful because they are determined and they work hard — not because they were simply lucky. Schools and offices often say high achiever for a student or worker who regularly does well. The word feels a little formal, and a little like education-speak; a friend might just say she gets things done. It names the person, not the result: the result is an achievement; the person is the achiever. It does not have to mean famous or rich. A quiet person who steadily reaches their goals is an achiever too. The opposite people reach for is — someone who could do more than they are doing — though that label can be , and it is not always fair.
組成From achieve + -er (a person who does that action). Achieve comes from Middle English achieven; the -er is the old English ending for “someone who does this.”
