Picture a chain, each link hooked into the one before it. `Logical` describes anything you can walk along like that chain — this fact, then the next, then the conclusion — without meeting a gap you have to jump. Call a person logical and you mean their thinking is built in links; call a decision logical and you mean it is the link that hooks onto everything already there.
