adjective · B1
Having a smooth curved shape, like part of a circle or a ball, instead of sharp corners, straight edges or points.
Picture running your hand along an edge and finding no corner to catch on — the line just curves away and comes back. That is the whole word: something whose sharpness has been taken off, or that never had any. The -ed ending matters, because it hints at a shape that was given, not a shape that simply is. Once you hold that picture, the other uses are the same hand moving over different things: over a number with an awkward tail, over a person with no obvious gap, over a pair of lips closing into a circle.

adjective · B2
Describing a number that has been changed to a simpler value close to it, such as the nearest whole number, ten, hundred or thousand.
