Talking about quality, it means done ; used just to press a word harder, it means completely, one hundred per cent. From Latin perficere 'to accomplish, finish, complete' — per- 'completely' + facere 'to make, do', literally 'to make completely'. The 'complete' half is what later gave English the intensifier use, as in 'a perfect stranger'.
來自拉丁文 perficere（完成、做完），由 per-（完全地）＋ facere（做）組成，字面就是「做到完全」。「完成」這一半後來在英文裡長成了加強語氣的用法（例如 a perfect stranger＝完全不認識的人）——所以「完美地」和「完全地」不是兩個不相干的意思，是同一個「做到滿」的兩種走向。
