    Having a good enough reason behind it, so that other people can accept it as fair or sensible in that situation.

    justified 講的是「這個做法／這種反應站得住腳」，因為背後有說得出來的理由。兩個常見形狀：something is justified（這件事有理），還有 someone is justified in doing something（某人這樣做是合理的）。它跟 right 的差別在於——right 是「對的」，justified 是「在那個處境下說得過去」。

    Describing text on a page or screen where the lines are made to end in a straight line down the right side, the left side, or both.

    這是排版用的 justified，跟「有理由」那個意思沒有關係，只是共用同一個字。它講的是每一行的邊緣排成一條直線：left justified 靠左切齊、right justified 靠右切齊、fully justified 兩邊都齊（電腦會自動調整字間空白）。中文軟體多半譯成「對齊」或「左右對齊」。
