核心畫面

One way to picture it: something is still floating and — a rule, a number, a question, a person's own mind — and an act of determination brings it down and fixes it in one place, so it stops moving and everyone can now treat it as settled. The 'de-termine' feel is of drawing the line and saying: this far, this value, this answer.
