adjective · B1
Having length, width and depth, or looking as if it does, so that it takes up space you could walk around, hold in your hand, or see from another side.
Hold something solid and turn it. Each turn brings a side you had not seen. That is the picture under this word: there is always more of it than the part facing you. A ball works that way, a clever drawing can fool your eye into it, and a well-written person in a story does it too — you keep turning them and keep finding another side.

adjective · B2
Used about a person in a book, film or play who feels like a real person, because they have more than one side and you can sense a life going on inside them.
