A picture, doll, statue, or computer face is lifelike when it looks so close to a real person or thing that you almost expect it to blink. We use it for how something looks, not for how a story feels — a film can have lifelike skin, but a plot is realistic, not lifelike.
A picture, doll, statue, or computer face is lifelike一張圖、一個娃娃、一座雕像,或一張電腦做的臉是lifelike的 when it looks so close to a real person or thing是指它看起來跟真人或真的東西非常像 that you almost expect it to blink像到你幾乎以為它會眨眼。 We use it for how something looks我們是用它來說「看起來」怎麼樣 not for how a story feels而不是用來說一個故事「感覺」怎麼樣 a film can have lifelike skin一部電影可以有lifelike的皮膚 but a plot is realistic, not lifelike但劇情要說realistic,不會說lifelike。

You can stretch it a little to voices or movement (a lifelike recording), though the home of the word is still ‘looks real’. It is an ordinary, slightly adjective; not slang, not stiff textbook talk.
You can stretch it a little to voices or movement你可以把它稍微延伸到聲音或動作上 (a lifelike recording)(像a lifelike recording) though the home of the word is still 'looks real'不過這個詞的本家還是「看起來很真實」。 It這個詞 is an ordinary, slightly admiring adjective是個普通、帶點欣賞意味的形容詞 not slang, not stiff textbook talk不是俚語,也不是死板的課本用語。
組成From life + -like. -like means ‘similar to’, so lifelike is ‘like real life’. English has used it since the 1610s. The ending comes down from Old English -līċ and an older Germanic piece that once had to do with form, then came to mean ‘like’.
