紙上的暗部
這是畫面本身:畫家把某一塊壓暗,形狀就從平面上站起來。
noun · B2
The parts of a drawing or painting that have been made darker, which give the picture its sense of light and shape.
明暗;陰影處理
Picture light being held back a little, so one area goes a step darker than the one beside it. On paper that step is what makes a circle into a ball. Follow the same idea outward and you get the other uses: many small steps between dark and light become many small differences between things that are nearly alike, and the thing standing between you and the sun - leaves, cloth, a roof - is what holds the light back in the first place.
