Picture someone reaching forward toward something they don't yet have — eyes fixed on a goal, body leaning that way, putting in effort to close the gap and reach it. 'Seek' is that forward reaching: not just wanting, but actively going after. Whether the target is a thing to get, help to receive, or a place to find, the same motion runs underneath — a deliberate move toward what you're after.
