    Used before a noun to talk about the people or things that are still there after the others have gone, been used, or been dealt with.

    「remaining」講的是「其他的都走了、用掉了、或處理完了之後，還在那裡的那些人或東西」。它只放在名詞前面，例如 the remaining students（剩下的學生）、the remaining ingredients（剩下的材料）；要說「還剩下」，英文會用 There are three left 或 Three students remain。可以想成 remaining 就像從動詞 remain（留下來）長出來的形容詞：留下來的那一批，就是 the remaining ones。
