Borrowed from Middle French patricien, from Latin patricius, derived from patres conscripti, the Roman senators; the patr- element is father.

經由中古法文 patricien 借自拉丁文 patricius,而 patricius 連到 patrēs cōnscrīptī,也就是羅馬的元老。patr- 這一塊是「父親」,所以「元老=父輩」這個畫面一開始就寫在字裡。
