核心畫面

Picture one small dot sitting at the end of a line of writing. Everything that was running forward stops there: the sentence, the reader's voice, the idea. The dictionary uses of full stop can be thought of as that dot being placed on bigger and bigger things — on a sentence, on a conversation, on a career.
