Picture a spell that has already been cast and has settled. The thing it landed on still looks ordinary — a forest, a castle, a ring — but it no longer behaves the way it should. Enchanted names that state, the after of the magic rather than the doing of it. Move the same picture onto a person and nothing changes except what did the work: a voice, a gift, a small town holds you in place as if a spell had.
