    Behaviour in which you lie to people, trick them, or cheat them so that you get something you should not get.

    「dishonesty」講的是「騙人、作弊這一類的行為」，不是某一句謊話。說一次謊是 a lie，而 dishonesty 是整個「不老實」的做法：騙人、作弊、把假的說成真的。它是不可數名詞，所以不說 a dishonesty，要講一次的話用 an act of dishonesty。這個字可以想成是 honesty（誠實）前面裝上 dis-（相反）：honest → honesty，dis- 一開，意思就翻到另一邊，就像 like／dislike、appear／disappear 一樣。

Getting something by putting a false picture in someone's head — a lie, a trick, a hidden card — so they hand over what they would not have handed over if they could see clearly.
