Dishonestly is the adverb of dishonest: you do something in a way that is not honest, so people are misled or cheated. It is not only “telling a lie.” You can speak dishonestly, but you can also act dishonestly — hide money, copy an exam, sell something you know is broken, take credit for work that is not yours. The point is the cheating, not only the words. It is a serious word. Teachers, news, and the law like it; friends more often say someone cheated or lied. You will see it a lot with verbs like obtain, take, claim, behave, and act: money dishonestly obtained, a prize dishonestly won. Though actually, it does not always mean a big crime. A small lie to look better still counts. It is not the same as or : those can hurt people without hiding the truth.
組成dishonest (not honest) + -ly (in that way). Older English also used it to mean “in a shameful way,” but today it is about cheating, not only looking bad.
