Picture a line drawn around everything nature and science can account for — falling rain, illness, the movement of stars. Supernatural names what sits above and outside that line: a ghost walking through a wall, a curse that works, a healing no doctor can explain. The word does not claim these things are real; it marks them as lying beyond what the ordinary rules can reach.
