From 'require', from Latin requirere 'to seek, ask, ask for (something needed)', from re- + quaerere 'to ask, seek'. A requirement is at root a thing that is asked for or sought — which is exactly the modern core: something needed and demanded.
來自 require，源自拉丁文 requirere（尋求、開口要、要來所需之物），由 re-（一再）加 quaerere（問、找）組成。requirement 骨子裡就是「被開口要、被尋求的東西」，正好對上現代的核心：一件被需要、被要求的事物。
