rare, uncommon · adjective · B1
Happening or seen only very seldom.
You can hold rare as a thing you almost never come across: you can look and look and it just isn't there most of the time. The picture under it is — only a few exist, or it only happens once in a long while, so finding one feels like a small piece of luck.

rare, uncommon · adjective · B1
Happening or seen only very seldom.
rare (meat) · adjective · B1
(Of meat) cooked for only a short time, so it is still red inside.
great, excellent (old-fashioned) · adjective · B1
Very good or surprising — an old-fashioned British way of saying something was great.
