用眼睛探
同樣是往下探,只是這次沒有出聲:探針換成目光,你被看的時候知道對方正在讀你沒說的部分。
adjective · C1
Used about someone's eyes or look when they watch you closely and seem to see more than you have said out loud.
銳利探究的(眼神)
You can think of probing as something thin being pushed in to reach what the surface hides. A doctor uses a probe to feel what the eye cannot see; an engineer pushes one into a machine to find the fault. Put that movement into language and you get a question that goes past the polite answer to the part that was left out. Put it into a person's eyes and you get a look that keeps going until it reaches what was not said.
