Picture the road people travel every day. Whatever sits on that road is easy to reach and easy to meet: the shop by the bus stop, the music everyone already knows. Out-of-the-way is everything off to the side of that road. The village the bus does not pass. The question nobody thought to ask. Nothing is wrong with what is off to the side. It is simply not where people usually go, so you need an extra turn to get to it.
