A feeling that pulls you towards one set of beliefs, opinions, or ways of doing things more than others, without you having fully decided or made it your position.
「leaning」從動詞 lean（身體往一邊靠）來。可以想成：身體靠過去時重心已經偏了，但腳還沒跨過去；leaning 就像想法也是這樣——已經偏向某一邊，卻還沒真的站過去。所以它比 opinion 輕：opinion 是你講得出來的看法，leaning 是還沒定下來的偏向，常常是別人看出來的。實際用的時候幾乎都是複數 leanings，後面接 towards。

From Old English hlinung 'leaning, resting'; lean + -ing.
源自古英文 hlinung「倚靠」；即 lean 加 -ing。
Think of a body that is not standing straight but tilting a little to one side. Nothing has happened yet — the person has not fallen, has not walked over, has not chosen. You can just see which way the weight is going. A leaning is that tilt turned into a matter of opinion or belief.
