From Middle English curiosite, via Anglo-Norman, from Latin cūriōsitās; curious + -ity.
源自拉丁文 cūriōsitās；就是 curious 加上 -ity。
Think of the small tug you feel toward something covered, closed, or not yet explained — a cloth over an object, a door you have never opened, a sentence you did not catch. Curiosity is that pull to go and look.
可以想成心裡被什麼勾了一下的感覺：前面有個蓋著布的東西、一扇從沒開過的門、一句聽不懂的話，你就會想湊過去看一眼、想開口問。curiosity 指的就是那股「想知道」的拉力本身，這股拉力沒有好壞，只是把人往前帶。
