核心畫面

Picture taking one thing and making a second thing that looks exactly the same — the original on one side, an identical twin on the other. 'Copy' can be thought of as that act, and the twin it produces. From this one picture everything radiates: the noun is the made-identical thing (and, by a small stretch, one identical unit out of a print run); the verb is the act of producing such a — whether you duplicate an object, mimic another person's behaviour, or sneak a look at someone's answers and write the same. One side branch leaves the '' idea behind: the text prepared for a newspaper or , and news that is worth printing.
