English took the word from French boutique, a shop. It is a doublet of apothecary and bodega, words that trace back to the same idea of a storehouse or shop. So the shop meaning is where the word starts, and everything else is that shop used as a picture.
這個字是英文從法文 boutique（店舖）借來的。它和 apothecary、bodega 同源，都可以追回到「儲藏處、店舖」那一支。所以「店」是這個字的起點；後來的用法，都是把那家小店當成一張圖來借用。
