Think of someone standing back, looking at what another person said or did, and giving a small nod: yes, that fits. It's not praise for being clever — it's a judgment that the thing lines up with how matters actually stand. That nod is what rightly adds to a sentence: the speaker in to say the belief, the feeling, or the action was justified.
