Think of something being lifted up onto a bigger thing and then staying there: a rider onto a horse, a speaker onto a wall, a statue onto a base. The picture is not the lifting itself but what comes after it. The thing is up there, it is held, and it does not slide off.
可以想成「被抬上去，然後就待在那裡」。畫面裡先有一個更大的東西當底：一匹馬、一面牆、一座底座。再把人或物放上去、扣穩。重點不在放上去的那一下，而在放上去之後——它穩穩停在上面，不會再滑動。mounted 這個字給人的感覺，就是這個「已經上去而且固定住」的狀態。
