insure, make certain (=ensure) · verb · B2
To do something so that you are sure a good result will happen. This is the American spelling; British writing uses 'ensure'.
確保
Picture paying a small amount regularly so that a big loss will not fall on you alone — if the thing is stolen or broken, money comes back. The same deal can be described from either end: the customer insures the car, and the company insures the customer. A third use, common in American writing, is really the word ensure ('make sure') wearing this spelling.
