當場做一遍給人看
一樣是擺到眼前,只是這次擺出來的是「動作」:與其解釋步驟,不如直接做一次。
show how to do it · verb · B2
To show people how to do something or how something works, usually by doing it in front of them.
示範
Demonstrate can be pictured as putting the thing where people can see it for themselves. That is what separates it from say: saying asks you to take my word for it, while demonstrating places the evidence, the action, or the crowd right in front of you and lets you draw your own conclusion. Proving a claim with figures, showing how the machine works, marching in the street so the numbers are visible — all the same move: not telling you, showing you.
