核心畫面

Picture a blanket spread over an area: how much it reaches and covers. 'Coverage' is the noun for 'how much ground something covers' — and different things do the covering: a report covers a topic, insurance covers a risk, a signal covers a region.

From the word’s history

Simply 'cover' + the noun suffix '-age' (which forms nouns of amount/extent, as in 'mileage', 'acreage'). So 'coverage' literally = the amount/extent of covering.

其實就是 cover(覆蓋)加上名詞字尾 -age;-age 常表示「數量/範圍」(如 mileage 里程、acreage 面積)。所以 coverage 字面可以想成「覆蓋的量、覆蓋的範圍」——核心畫面正好對得上:蓋到多大一片。
