    A talk between two or more people where they share news, feelings, and ideas.

    文法可數、不可數兩種都可以：有時要加 a/an 或 -s，有時不用加。

    「conversation」是兩個人以上「你一句我一句」的輕鬆交談，重點在雙向來回，不是一個人講個不停。跟 talk 很接近，但 conversation 更強調「彼此都有在說、有在聽」；比 chat 正式一點，比 discussion（為了某個議題討論）更日常、更隨意。

You can picture conversation as two or more people sitting together and passing words back and forth — one talks, the other answers, and in that they share news, feelings, and ideas. It is not one person making a speech; the picture is the exchange itself, the words travelling both ways.
