Something conversational sounds or feels like normal, relaxed talking between people, rather than something formal, written, or planned out. A 'conversational tone' in writing or speaking feels friendly and easy, like a chat, not a lecture. 'Conversational' can also describe a level of skill in a language — 'conversational English' means you can chat comfortably about everyday things, even if you're not fully fluent.
