From Middle English collectour, from Anglo-Norman, from Late Latin collēctor, from Latin colligō 'to gather together'.
源自晚期拉丁文 collēctor，來自 colligō「收集在一起」。
Picture someone going round gathering things into one place. What changes between the two uses is why: one keeps what they gather because they love it, the other gathers because it is their job and the things are owed.
