sensing, perceiving · adjective · B2
Noticing something because you can see, hear, feel, or smell it.
察覺 / 感覺到
You can think of aware as a kind of inner light that is switched on toward something: your senses or your mind have 'caught' it and it is now registering. Most basic is the raw version — you feel the cold, hear the noise, smell the smoke — something has reached you and you know it is there.
