    a way in which two things or people are alike.

    文法可數、不可數兩種都可以：有時要加 a/an 或 -s，有時不用加。

    「similarity」是「相似／相似之處」。講整體像不像時多用不可數；講一件件相似點時用複數 similarities。常說 similarity between A and B、similarity to／with。resemblance 多指外表相像；similarity 可指外表、想法、作法等各種像的地方。

Picture two things laid side by side, and you pointing at the one spot where they match. The word is not about the things being the same overall — it names a particular place where they overlap, which is why you can count them.
