核心畫面

Register starts as an official record: a book or list where names and facts are written down and kept, so they are officially 'on the record'. Hold that picture of marking something down so it counts. The verb is the act of doing that — putting a name on a list, or more broadly making something be recorded: stating an opinion so it's noted, an instrument recording a reading, a feeling showing (recording itself) on a face, even a mind 'recording' a fact so it sinks in. A few side senses borrow the idea of a measured range or level — a voice's musical range, and how formal language is pitched.
