One way to hold this word: something is being put in the place it is meant to go, where it will stay and do its job. A notice goes onto the board so everyone walking past can read it. A message goes into the group so the whole group can see it. A person goes to the city the service chose for them. A figure goes into the line of the it belongs to. Different things, but the same movement each time: taken from your hands, set down in its proper place, left there.
