核心畫面

At root ill carries one simple idea: something has gone wrong — it is bad, harmful, or out of order. The most familiar place we feel that today is in the body: when your body has 'gone wrong', you are ill (sick). But the same 'something is bad/wrong' picture also runs the other way — across the older 'bad, harmful' uses (ill health, ill luck, speak ill of, society's ills, wish someone ill).
