An area of land where people hunt wild animals. It is often used in the plural, hunting grounds, for the land that a group of people used for hunting in the past.

One way to hold hunting ground: it is the land you go out to, not the going out. A stretch of forest or hill that someone knows, returns to, and comes back from carrying something.
