    A crowded place has too many people or too many things in it, so it is hard to move around or to find space.

    crowded 說的是「一個地方裡的人或東西太多了」——多到不好走動、找不到位子放。它形容的是空間，不是人：車廂很擠說 The train is crowded，不說 I am crowded。可以想成它就是從 crowd（人群）長出來的形容詞，一個地方「長滿了人群」的樣子；同樣的畫面也用在東西上，桌上塞滿書也叫 crowded。比 busy 更強調「擠到難走」，比 packed 溫和一點——packed 是幾乎連縫隙都沒有了。

Picture a space that has more in it than it can comfortably hold — a rush-hour train, a small room with too much furniture. You cannot move freely, you cannot find a gap to put anything down. The word describes the space, not the people: it is the place that is crowded.
