載人的大車
最貼著核心的一家:那台共用的大車本身,加上『開這台車把人載過去』的動作。
bus (vehicle) · noun · A1
A large road vehicle that carries many people who pay to travel on it.
公車
You can picture bus as one shared line that carries many along a route: a big vehicle everyone climbs into to be moved together. The name itself comes from 'omnibus' — 'for all' — so the idea underneath is one channel that everybody (or everything) rides along together.
'Bus' is a clipping of Latin 'omnibus,' the dative plural meaning 'for all.' It named the early horse-drawn vehicles that carried everyone along Paris's main streets, and by 1832 was shortened to 'bus' — so 'for all, carried together along a route' sits right under the modern word.

computer bus · noun · A1
A set of wires inside a computer that carries signals between its main parts.

收拾餐桌
這一個離核心最遠,是另一條路:來自餐廳的 busboy(收盤子的服務生),動詞 bus 就是『做 busboy 做的事』——把髒盤子收走。
to bus tables · verb · A1
In a restaurant, to clear away the dirty dishes that people leave on tables.
