路上的停靠點
兩個用法共用同一個位置感:它在路上,不在終點。差別只在一個講的是真的鐵路,一個講的是任何旅程或人生階段。
noun · C1
A small railway station between the main stations, where trains stop only briefly, and in some cases only when someone signals them to stop.
鐵路小站
Picture a long railway line with two big stations at the ends, and one small platform sitting between them. The train stops there for a minute or two, someone gets off, and the train moves on. Nobody is travelling in order to arrive at that platform. Once you can see that small stop in the middle of a long line, the wider use follows on its own: any place, or any year of your life, that you pass through on the way to somewhere else.
