From Latin destinare (de- + a root akin to stare, 'to stand firm'), 'to settle or fix.' A destination is the place fixed as the end of the journey.
來自拉丁文 destinare（de- ＋ 與 stare「站穩」同源），原意是『把某處確定、定下來』。所以 destination 骨子裡是『被定下來、當作終點的那個地方』——旅程要落腳的地方。
